I am wrong with that assumption? I went into the Device Manager, and clicked on the Silicon a. Also, when I tried to flash it under DOS, it gives me a long list flash chips to choose from.
It’s the code that the Sataalink card runs that may not work so well. I formatted it with the defaults, and I did not choose Quick Format. Turns out one of the ports is defective, if I only use the good port the card works fine, Windows boots fine, and the drive functions fine in Windows.

I’ll give it a try. But I just change the pci card to another slot, and the bios did not hang up during booting. Any ideas would be appreciated.
